Located in northwestern Connecticut, Barry Whalen has been building furniture professionally for 12 years and during that time has worked alongside some of the most talented craftsmen in New England.  Having collaborated with the area’s top designers, his pieces reside in some of the most exclusive homes and apartments from New York City to Dubai.

Barry Joseph Fine Furniture is committed to building custom furniture with a focus on craftsmanship and design.  We fully intend that each piece made will become an heirloom to be passed down for generations.

Over the last 15 years, the pieces he has made range from traditional to contemporary. Some of the firms he has worked for include, Gomez Associates, The Rockwell Group, B Five Studio, Julia Roth Design and most recently, Renae Cohen Interiors, Billinkoff Architecture and Allee Architecture and Design.
